Bulk Material Storage and Batching System

IES designed and built a Bulk Material Storage and Batching system for a specialty cookie maker in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The system consists of three 70,000 pound capacity outdoor silos, one for granulated sugar, and two for flour. Flour and sugar are pneumatically conveyed to three scale hoppers located in the mixing area of the plant. The transfer of the product is completely automatic via a PLC control system that stores recipe information for up to 200 recipes with up to 20 ingredients per recipe. IES provided engineering including civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical for this project. IES provided complete turnkey construction of the system.
