Process Improvement
IES' process engineers perform Process Improvement Reviews of your
production facility to identify improvements that can reduce your
utility or waste management costs, improve operating and product
handling efficiency, and realize an attractive payback, decrease
your business risks, and improve your market competitiveness.
Process Plant Designs
These projects require a high level of detail in instrumentation,
electrical, piping, vessels, structural and civil engineering and
design. IES will design a new facility for your process, or incorporate
a new process line in your existing facility. We will conduct the
Process Safety Management (PSM) program, when necessary.
Utility System Improvements
Boilers, cooling towers, compressors, electrical systems, and other
utilities eventually need to be replaced or upgraded during the
life of a facility. IES will review your existing utilities and
identify areas of improvement operating improvements, improved control
technology, or capital investments. Using your criteria, we provide
definitive recommendations.
Facility Design
Optimized equipment layouts can mean lower capital costs, improved
operations and maintainability, and lower operating costs. Over
90 percent of IES' facility design projects involve installing capital
equipment for process driven improvements.
We also design new capital facilities.
Ventilation Systems
IES' ventilation experts are improving ventilation requirements
in tough applications such as smelting, refining, dry dust handling,
solvent management, odor control, and a broad range of regulation-driven
(OSHA & EPA) projects.
Construction Services - Overview
Design/Build Project Delivery
Using our Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) approach, we take single-source
responsibility for design, construction and start-up of facilities.
Our clients avoid the adversarial situations which frequently arise
in the traditional project delivery system by forging a strong link
between the designer and the constructor. The burden of complete
performance is shifted to IES. Improved scheduling and overall project
cost reductions are the principal reasons why our clients choose
this project delivery method.
Design-Bid-Build Project Delivery
If our clients prefer the traditional delivery method, IES prepares
design plans and specifications, assists in bid evaluation, and
provides "owners' representative" services during the
construction phase.
