Senior Project Manager

Mr. Miller has more than 25 years of experience in the design and installation of process systems, industrial air pollution control, and water pollution control systems. His experience includes project management as well as the mechanical and controls aspects of the design. Mr. Miller’s responsibilities on industrial projects include applicable code review, concept and technology evaluation, recommending potential solutions with regard to compliance with regulations, performance criteria, available space, capital costs, and operating expenses, and leading the design efforts to implement the recommendations. He is responsible for scheduling, costing, and coordinating design drawing and specification preparation among the various discipline groups. He is also responsible for the mechanical engineering aspects of these projects, including fan, pump and pollution control device selection, pipe and duct sizing, and system layout. Mr. Miller has been involved in numerous industrial projects and pollution control projects. These projects include the design, installation, and start-up of a thermal oxidizer with an acid gas scrubber and associated controls; duct work and piping for an exhaust stream containing chlorinated solvent fumes for a large pharmaceutical facility in Puerto Rico; the design and installation of a venturi scrubber system to control particulate emissions from a multi-hearth sludge incinerator for a local sewer authority; the design, installation, and start-up of a gaseous oxygen/natural gas-firing system for a fiberglass manufacturer; the design of a thermal oxidizer system to control solvent vapors from an abrasives manufacturing operation; and the installation of a belt filter press for a major New Jersey electric utility. In addition to his design projects, Mr. Miller has assisted several manufacturing facilities investigate explosions in their industrial processes, and he has conducted numerous HAZOP and safety analyses.
