DAVID R. MCNALLY Technical Editor
Mr. McNally has more than 20 years of experience editing and revising environmental engineering proposals and reports, qualifications and experience packages, health and safety plans, project summaries, newsletters, and marketing materials. He has assisted in the preparation of reports and proposals involving air pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, solid and hazardous waste, underground/aboveground storage tanks, health and safety plans and manuals, and industrial hygiene reports for the pharmaceutical, chemical, healthcare, metals, and utility industries, as well as municipal clients. In addition, his experience encompasses technical consistency editing of software specifications and editorial assistance to a travel guide publishing company.
Prior to joining IES in a full-time capacity in November 1996, Mr. McNally worked part time as a technical editor at the firm since its inception in July 1991. Mr. McNally was employed full time as Senior Technical Editor at Harding Lawson Associates in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from January 1995 to August 1996 and at BCM Engineers (now Smith Environmental) in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, from April 1988 to December 1993. As a subcontractor, Mr. McNally performed radar software consistency editing full time for GE Technical Publications in Syracuse, New York, from 1982 to 1984. Since 1993, Mr. McNally has provided as-needed editorial assistance to Becklyn Publishing Group, Research Triangle, North Carolina, publishers of The Insider’ Guide to the Triangle, The Insiders’ Guide to Charlotte, and Day Trips and Weekends in the Carolinas. Besides his experience in editing, Mr. McNally taught English grammar, composition, and literature classes in community college, high school, and private school for 6 years, and English as a Second Language (TESOL) in Iran for 2 years.
